Mystic Earring Jackets

These gorgeous earring jackets are just so beautifull. They hang at approximately 2 1/8″ long and drip with amethyst briolettes, amazonite beads, apatite beads and citrine briolettes. Both have a beautiful focal brolette of blue mystic quartz. They have also been completely hand formed out of sterling silver wire (some slight variation), oxidized and then hand finished to bring out the details.

Wear your favorite gemstone studs or pearl studs with these beautiful enhancers. They are sure to liven up your collection.

Ridiculously Giddy

Yup, that’s exactly what I am. Maybe it will turn out to be all for not but for now I am just going to roll with it and let come what may. Over the weekend I was contacted by a fabulous lady that lives in Charleston and has many contacts with boutique owners in NC, SC (Charleston?!) and Georgia (Atlanta??!) and wants to take my little baubles to them. How cool is that?!

Me? Little ol’ me? I’m speechless. And, well – pretty darned giddy…

Pretty As A Peacock Earring Jackets

Ever since I was a child I have loved the ballet – more specifically the Nutcracker because it was the very first ballet I had ever seen. My entire life since then I have been in love with the lovely peacock from the ballet. So graceful!

These earring jackets were designed with the Nutcracker peacock in mind. They slip easily over the post of the earrings of your choice – though I must say that champagne, chocolate and dark gray pearls look amazing with it – maybe even a peacock pearl?

These beauties are dripping with amethysts and apatite beads, citrine rondelles and citrine briolettes. These earring jackets even contain two beautiful focals – a beautiful faceted turquoise briolette in the center and a beautiful faceted cognac color chalcedony. It has been oxidized to add beauty.

These earring jackets are approximately 2 1/2″ in length and approximately 7/8″ (just under an inch) across.

I love my personal stud earrings – pearls, diamonds, gemstones – they are my signature pieces. To keep who I am yet express a different side of me I designed and created these earring jackets. I hope you will enjoy mixing it up while keeping it the same as much as I do!

Viking Knit Copper Necklace with Antique Coin from India

This was a fun necklace to make. All hand woven in the Viking knit technique and adorned with an antique coin from India that is dotted with a powder blue chalcedony rondelle. It brings out the blue/green of natural oxidization on the antique coin. The necklace clasp is designed to be worn either on the side or in the front in place of a pendant. The opening could even be used as eyeglass holders.

To finish the necklace I oxidized it and then hand rubbed it to bring out the details of the knit.

The necklace is approximately 24 1/4″ in length and the coin is approximately 13/16″ across (under 1″). The necklace itself is just over 1/8″.

Earring Jackets

I LOVE these earring jackets! My two favorite colors together – a pair of nice warm cognac color chalcedony onion briolettes topped with a pair of powder blue chalcedony rondelles that have been wire wrapped with argentium silver wire so they will be tarnish resistant.

They hang so beautifully – and the way the light flows through the drops is unbelievable. They glow in the light as if lit from within. Classy and elegant.

They are a smidge under 1″ and just under 3/8″ at their widest.

Description

I am so happy with how this necklace turned out – so much so that I named it after my great grandmother.

I created Lillian from sterling silver wire and delicate Italian sterling silver chain, freshwater pearls, chalcedony rondelles, a faceted quartz flat briolette and a puffed diamond shaped moonstone. I finished the piece by oxidizing it and polishing it to bring out the details.

Lillian is approximately 18 1/2″ stretched out from ring to hook of the clasp. The main focal of the necklace is a hair under 2″ in length.

September and The First Stirrings of Fall

I know it isn’t fall yet and will not be for another 22 days – however, that doesn’t stop me from being giddy and acting excited like a little kid getting a birthday present on their very special day. The acorns start to drop and then the leaves along with it. Backyard fire pits finally get prepped for use and S’mores parties are planned. Roast duck is on the menu as well as mini pie pumpkins stuffed with mushroom and duck risotto (can you tell? I like duck). The doors of the house are thrown open to let the cool autumn air clean out the stale summer ghosts that linger in the corners. I feel refreshed and renewed. Finally, the sweaters and jackets make their way out of the closets in preparation for wear. This calls for a celebration! Break out the wine and honey drizzled oven baked brie.
Fall. It feels like coming home.

Egyptian Spirals Bracelet

This is a fantastically beautiful Egyptian spiral bracelet that is absolutely stunning in person. I loved this one so much I had to make another one just for myself to wear every day. Someone always compliments the piece.

The perfectly heavy and serpent smooth bracelet is completely hand made out of copper wire that has been oxidized to a beautiful antigue finish.

The clasp is entirely handmade and wire wrapped – from the top of the hook to the base of the loop it is approximately 8 inches in length and from spiral to spiral it is approximately 3/4 inch. The tassel is comprised of carnelian, amazonite, aquamarine and chalcedony that have been wire wrapped and suspended from the loop end of the clasp – fire and ice, baby! A nice little addition.
